Sustainable House Day – Get involved on Sep 15

Living more sustainably is one of the goals of all of the team at Cargocycles. For a couple of years we have been contributing sponsorship to Sustainable House Day and it’s coming up soon. September 15.

Over 235 homes will be opening across Australia this year. This is an excellent opportunity to peek inside houses that have been designed, built or renovated with sustainability in mind and to chat directly with homeowners who have done a lot of work to make their homes more sustainable and are willing to share them with their communities.

Many of the owners of these houses count electric bikes and cargo bikes as part of their transport solution. If you have solar and you charge your ebike that way it’s a pretty low impact means of getting from A to B.

The event is generally free but some homes are asking for gold coin donations. You can go to https://sustainablehouseday.com/ to register and search for houses near you. The addresses of the houses are on display now, but you can search on your postcode to see the houses opening near you. Register for an account and you can save them to your device and view several in your area on the day.
