Pendix | The eBike conversion kit for all bicycle types

Convert your favourite bike into an electric bike by retrofitting it with a Pendix eBike drive – the high-performance German-engineered e-bike kit technology. The kit is suitable for DIY fitting but we can also arrange to fit it for you at our store or via participating dealers. Contact us to discuss. It’s much easier to fit than other DIY systems because the wiring is very simple. There is no display, you control it with a simple switch on top of the battery but you can also connect to your phone with the free Pendix app.

Pendix eDrive lets you decide when your bike becomes an eBike. With a flick of a switch go up hills with motor support or just use your own muscle power. Though you’ll really appreciate some pedal-assist power on the way to work (no more sweating), popping down the shops in a hurry or if you’re struggling to pedal your box cargo bike with two kids on board.

The Pendix eDrive consists of the battery unit and the mid drive motor. It can be fitted to practically any style of bike or frame type. And if you want to upgrade your bike after a few years, the Pendix can easily be mounted on your new bike.

The new motor generation – eDrive

With 65 Nm torque the Pendix motor is comparable to Bosch and Shimano systems. It is deliberately kept simple with 3 levels of power chosen from a rotating knob on the battery.  The free Pendix.bike PRO app completes the smart Pendix system and allows you to monitor distance travelled, speed and o.

Quiet. Quieter.

Don’t be fooled by the understated nature of the system. The entire construction reflects the development competence of German engineers. The engine is approx 3 cm deep and has a diameter of less than 30 cm. All the smart technology is packed into this space and protected from external environmental impacts by the metal casing. The Pendix eDrive does not require gears at all, so there are no mechanical wear parts. Where there is no wear and tear, there is no maintenance, so you get a motor that is maintenance-free. The gearless design also has two other advantages. Firstly, it is absolutely noiseless. On the other hand, you hardly feel any pedaling resistance when it is switched off. So you can decide for yourself when you need assistance and continue to use your bike as a bicycle.

  1. Noiseless and maintenance-free system
  2. Optimum mounting position on the bicycle due to mid-mounted motor
  3. Water- and dust-resistant according to IP65
  4. Hardly noticeable pedaling resistance when the engine is switched off or the battery is empty
  5. Can be combined with all switching and braking systems

The Pendix ePower battery

The Pendix eDrive is available with two battery options – ePower300 and ePower500. Charging is also easy – with just one movement of your hand, you release the battery from the holder on the bicycle frame. The battery unit is simply placed on the included power station and your Pendix eDrive is ready for use in no time. Battery charge is indicated by an LED ring of lights on top of the battery, so you’ll know how much charge you have left when you’re riding.

Controller

With three levels of assist; Eco, Smart and Sport, available on the battery unit’s beautifully shaped rotary selector, you can quickly and precisely select how much power you need.
