This year we entered two Longhaul cargo bikes into the Melburn Roobaix. We totalled 55km during the day much of it over cobbled backstreets and lanes. The only casualties were a couple of baguettes and at least one onion. The bikes performed faultlessly and we even overtook a few people uphill in the back lanes of obscure bits of Melbourne. If you’ve never heard of the Roobaix, read about it here.
The bikes were standard spec apart from some lighter genuine vintage cargo boxes and straight handlebars so we could stand up instead of the normal more leisurely riding position.
Looking forward to 2012!
