36v Electric Assist Shorthaul

We recently prepared an electric assist version of our Shorthaul model Cargo bike for a customer. The conversion includes a 36v Dapu hub motor with a solid state pedalec sensor in the crank. It is extremely simple to operate, insert the ignition key to switch on, choose your level of assist with the handlebar mounted controller and start pedalling. The motor then begins to drive, stop pedalling, or operate the front brake, and the assist stops.

The battery pack and controller fit on the rear rack in a dedicated carrier. The 36v 10ah Li Fe PO4 battery pack can be removed from the rack for charging or charged on the bike. The ignition key also features a security locking pin so that the pack is harder to steal.

The motor wiring runs through the middle of the frame tube with a quick release connector hidden in the front of the frame to enable quick front wheel removal if required.
