Two great Triobike Taxis are now in operation through Cycling Without Age (CWA) Gippsland, supported by a custom-built trailer designed to safely store and transport two taxi models.

It was a lovely morning in Lakes Entrance—perfect for brightening faces with our CWA Gippsland trishaws. In the upcoming weeks, CWA Gippsland will schedule more days to offer free rides to Gippslanders who wish to enjoy the feeling of the wind in their hair but no longer can ride themselves.

The trishaws will be moved between Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale, and Sale using the CWA purpose-built trailer. These locations feature flat, easily accessible pathways that do not require crossing roads with our valuable “cargo”. Extra volunteer pilots are being trained and will be seeking more passengers in the weeks ahead. None of this would have been possible without the support of CWA sponsors, whose names are proudly displayed on our trailer and trishaws! A huge thanks goes to CWA Gippsland’s main sponsors: Gippsland Community Foundation, the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, Gippsland Lakes Complete Health, Dyers Transport, McDonald’s Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale, Gippsland Dawn, and The Nationals in Gippsland. If you’re interested in booking a ride, please email cwagippsland@gmail.com, and they will inform you about the next time volunteers will be out and about.
