vanRaam produces unique special needs bicycles and specialises in tricycles, scooter bikes, wheelchair bikes, tandem bikes, double rider bikes, and super low step-through bikes (also known as comfort bikes). Each model is also available as an electric bike (Pedelec).

vanRaam believes that when people stay mobile and independent longer, they are happier. That is why a vanRaam bike offers people with a disability and people who cannot cycle on a traditional bicycle with two wheels, a sustainable form of modern-day mobility. vanRaam – a family company with over a century of experience!

vanRaam has been manufacturing bicycles for almost 110 years, and for more than 40 years, the focus has been on special needs bicycles. Around 270 employees at vanRaam have the goal to offer sustainable and contemporary mobility to as many people as possible. We do this with Dutch quality bicycles that are suitable for both adults and children with special needs.

Each bicycle, from a straight tube to a complete end product, is produced by vanRaam itself. Therefore, almost every stage of the production is monitored and adjusted if necessary. This is necessary, given the wide variety of personal applications and user preferences. Custom-made services are one of the core activities of vanRaam. For both adults and children, special bikes are being developed whereby much attention is paid to comfort, durability and design. The slogan ‘vanRaam makes people mobile’ is put into practice every day. Characteristics of this family business are the combination of high knowledge, quality workmanship, along with accurately responding to contemporary developments. vanRaam uses modern equipment but is also not afraid to use ‘old-fashioned’ craftsmanship.
