The Christiania Model S was developed in 1994 and has been designed for the transport of wheelchair users, specifically children with special needs.
By using the special hook mounted on the left side of the box, the platform can easily be converted into a ramp, where the wheelchair can be pushed up/down.
The wheelchair can be secured with a strong safety belt.
Standard specification includes an 8 speed rear internal hub, rear roller brake and front Hydraulic Disc’s.
There is also the option to add a rear hub drive motor (which will also have a rear Derailleur in place of the internal hub gears) , or the Pendix mid drive system.
NOTE THE MODEL S PICTURED HAS THE OPTIONAL REAR HUB MOTOR OPTION – It can be supplied with pedal power only or with a Pendix Mid Drive motor. Contact us to discuss.
