A few people have asked what happened to our Supermaxi concept that we featured previously. Well, the first factory let us down but despite that the project has moved on – albeit slowly, there is now a new concept frame designed by me. This time featuring a low top tube to keep the frame nice and rigid but also to allow an area for signage which is a common requirement for people thinking about a commercial application.
The frame geometry will be such that you can stand up and pedal when you need to work that load up a hill but we are also going to offer a simple, durable electric assist system that is geared to everyday use. Commercial use bikes will still need servicing on a monthly basis if they are living a hard life but it will be possible to use an electric assist that can take the pressure of such an application.
We will also have a child carrying option and for commercial uses there will be lightweight boxes, baskets and food carriers. Get that bike based business operating in Australia soon.
Some photos below of the latest prototype, the wooden boxes are just temporary to show the concept.
Call to discuss, we have many options for load carrying bicycles.
